Kristen is the driving force behind our pediatric OT clinic. Holding a Master of Occupational Therapy and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from Louisiana State University, Kristen’s educational foundation is complemented by a wealth of practical experience. After spending the initial years of her career in Atlanta, she returned to her roots to be closer to family and pursue her vision of creating a supportive, child-centered clinic for the community she calls home.
Kristen has extensive experience in both clinical and home health settings and is an active provider for Early Steps. She works with children ages 0–18 across a wide range of developmental profiles, with specialized experience in sensory integration, reflex integration, handwriting, feeding therapy, and neurodivergent-affirming care. Kristen is passionate about supporting autistic children, children with ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other neurodivergent learners by honoring each child’s unique strengths, communication styles, interests, and sensory needs.
Her unique ability lies in identifying individual motivators and creating engaging, play-based experiences that support confidence, self-regulation, connection, and participation in meaningful daily activities. Kristen values a strengths-based, collaborative approach that empowers children while partnering closely with families, teachers, and other providers. She believes that a fun, inclusive, and family-centered environment is the foundation for helping every child build skills, independence, and a strong sense of self.
Outside the clinic, Kristen cherishes quality time with her family and embraces her love for travel, reflecting the same balanced and compassionate approach to life that she brings to pediatric occupational therapy every day.
